L ARABINOSE APPLICATIONS / USES :-
L-arabinose has a taste similar to sucrose (table sugar) but with about half its sweetness, making it a low-calorie alternative.
By inhibiting the intestinal enzyme sucrase, it slows down the digestion of sucrose into glucose and fructose. This can lead to lower postprandial (after meal) glycemic and insulinemic responses.
L-arabinose has shown potential as a colitis inhibitor and can improve glucose tolerance and regulate gut microorganisms.
